Maintaining your wooden products

Can I wash the wooden product?

Yes. Wash the utensils used for vegetables with dish detergent. However, after washing, dry it thoroughly in a place out of direct sunlight before cleaning it up.

Why shouldn't it be dried in direct sunlight?

When exposed to direct sunlight, rapid drying tends to cause warping and bending. Also, for the same reason, avoid placing the product under direct streams of hot or cool air.

What happens if I put it in the drawer before it dries enough?

It may cause mold and warping. Allow the product to dry thoroughly before cleaning up.

What is the best storage location for wood products?

A place that is not exposed to direct sunlight and a place where humidity is hard to accumulate. If it is stored in a drawer, etc., make sure that it is sufficiently dry before putting it away.

The wood is very dirty and had stains. Can I bleach it?

If you are worried about stains, use tableware bleach. However, the overall color may change slightly and the grain may become rough. If possible, avoid it and take care of it before it becomes a stain.

Mold has grown on the wood. What should I do?

Light mold can be removed using commercially available sandpaper. If that fails, you may carefully apply bleach or alcohol.

Do not use wooden products with mold on them.

Can I use the dishwasher and dryer?

Please do not use. It may cause cracks or warpage due to rapid drying.
